D2.4 Report containing information collected during field studies

This report presents the SMEthod’s approach to primary data collection and describes preliminary observation from surveys.

SMEthod fieldwork finished in September 2018. The database was created covering data on 677 SMEs from the project case studies countries: Finland, Poland, Spain, and the UK, including also a smaller sample of 75 other countries in order to have an international background for research findings.

Using tables and figures, the report provides descriptive statistics about differences between performance of SMEs depending on pro-innovative support received as well as outlines differences between innovating and non-innovating enterprises.
