Numerous kinds of support measures are used to stimulate innovation activities in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The aim of this report is to investigate which forms of support are significantly and positively associated with the probability of introducing alternative types of innovations by SMEs. Other factors characterizing enterprises and influencing their innovativeness are also studied. Since in order to obtain financial support, SMEs have to apply or bid for it, the first step of the analysis is focused on modelling and explaining the probability of obtaining support from alternative sources.
