The WATSON project is holding a dissemination event to highlight its research and findings on the impact of R&D tax incentives on SME-led innovation, improving SME segmentation and innovation support.
All are welcome to attend. This will be of high interest to anyone involved in SME innovation and R&D incentive schemes across Europe. It is believed the findings will help influence and shape the future direction of R&D tax relief policy across the EU, at European, national, regional and sectoral levels, and help to ensure that R&D tax incentive schemes are more streamlined and better targeted to SME needs.
The event is organised by the WATSON project in cooperation with OaSIS www.projectoasis.eu and SMEthod www.smethod.org , our fellow projects in the same Horizon 2020 INNOSUP (Innovation Support) call supporting research into SME segmentation and innovation. These two projects will also be giving an overview of their research and findings at the event.
We also have a senior representative from EASME (the European Commission’s Executive Agency for SMEs which oversees the INNOSUP programme) to set the context for the research and the European Commission’s reasons for providing funding in this area. The programme will include a discussion panel on a key topic of the moment: What is innovation? The search for a consistent definition.
